Irina Malezhik, a 47-year-old woman from Brooklyn, New York, was last seen on October 15, 2007. A Ukrainian immigrant, Malezhik lived in the Brighton Beach area and worked as a bookkeeper. Her disappearance was first noticed when she failed to return phone calls from friends and family.
