Patricia, from Savannah, Tennessee, had reportedly started communicating with a truck driver online sometime after Christmas in 2008 and eventually left with him. Family members were not familiar with the man and did not know his name. Despite her own cell phone being broken, Patricia maintained regular contact with her family until her final phone call.
On that day, she spoke to her son, telling him she was in the vicinity of New Mexico or Arizona with the trucker. She said he was going to buy her a Greyhound bus ticket to return home, and she was expected to arrive in Jackson, Tennessee, on the morning of March 9, 2009.
Patricia never arrived at the bus station in Jackson, and her family never heard from her again. The calls she had been making to her family were from the trucker's phone, but apparently, she did not have his number, and the calls may have been from a blocked number. The only detail her family could recall about the man she was with was that his truck was possibly pink or a light red color. At the time of her disappearance, Patricia was described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 132 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. She has several distinct tattoos: a cross with ribbons and the names of her three children, a butterfly on her lower back, and another unknown tattoo on her ankle.
