On January 13, 2018, 45-year-old Jason Carl Hoffman was planning to make the drive from his home in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, to visit a friend in Delaware. He was reported missing by his family that same day after he failed to arrive at his destination. At the time he was last seen, there was uncertainty about the vehicle he was driving; it was either his own 2006 British racing green Mini Cooper S, or possibly a rental car.
