Gerald Talifero, aged 68, and his 14-year-old son Adagio were last seen on June 7, 2018, setting sail from Goleta Beach, California. The pair was reportedly en route to Hawaii on a friend's 30-foot sailboat, with a possible planned stop in San Diego. Gerald, known as "Storm," had left a farm near Nevada City on June 2 and visited several friends and relatives in California before embarking on the trip.
