In the summer of 2017, Lori Ann Amendolara arrived in Memphis, Tennessee, facing a period of instability. Without a job or a place to call her own, she initially found refuge at a shelter run by Catholic nuns. She later transitioned to free housing in the vicinity of Poplar Avenue and North Cleveland. At the age of 55, Lori was last heard from on September 1, 2018.
