Phyllis Gilliam, an 11-year-old girl from Columbia, South Carolina, was last seen on August 16, 1971. On that day, she left her grandmother’s apartment, located in the Saxon Plaza area, to walk to a nearby laundromat on Read Street. Phyllis never returned, and she has not been seen or heard from since. Despite extensive searches, no trace of her has ever been found.
