John Whatley, a 73-year-old man, went missing alongside his wife, Faye Whatley, from their home in Bastrop, Texas, on January 27, 1976. The couple was last seen on January 26, 1976, but their disappearance became apparent when they failed to attend their granddaughter's wedding in Houston a few days later.
