George Edward Smith, a 70-year-old man from Nekoosa, Wisconsin, was last heard from on March 15, 1996. His ex-wife, Twyla Smith, reported him missing after not hearing from him for several months. George frequently stayed in both Rome, Wisconsin, and Tucson, Arizona. Twyla expressed concern because George had not used their joint checking account, his only source of income, for an extended period.
