Rodney Texera, aged 40, was last seen on December 1, 2005, in Berkeley, California. He last communicated with his family via email on the day of his disappearance. At the time, he had been helping a deaf friend move to Oroville, California, when they had an argument. Following this, Texera walked away from the situation and was last seen heading into a grove of trees with his backpack.

Rodney was reported missing three weeks later when his mother was informed by his caseworker that he had not shown up for his new janitorial job. Although authorities initially did not suspect foul play, Texera's family remains concerned, believing he would not have abandoned his girlfriend and young daughter. Despite ongoing efforts, his whereabouts remain unknown, and the case is still unresolved.
