In the winter of 2010, 55-year-old John Koezuna, an American Indian/Alaska Native male, was at a family cabin near Cape Wooley, Alaska. On December 20th, he left a note stating his intention to walk to Nome. This was not entirely out of character for John, who was known to go on long walks and was familiar with the rugged Alaskan terrain. However, this time would be different, sparking a years-long mystery that has left his family and community searching for answers.
