On a summer day in early June of 2014, 30-year-old Amber Lynn Caton was with a male friend and her mother. The friend was driving a vehicle he had reportedly stolen to take Amber’s mother to an appointment. An argument broke out between Amber and her friend on a residential street in Evansville, Indiana, prompting a call to the police.
