On a June afternoon in 2015, a 26-year-old man named Marcus Dean Wise told his father he was taking his dog for a walk in Hermiston, Oregon. He was last seen on June 18, 2015, reportedly in the Riverfront Park area. Later that day, a confusing turn of events unfolded when his large, reddish-brown mixed-breed dog was found wandering alone on the west side of town. There was no sign of Marcus, and he has not been seen or heard from since.
