Georgia Patricia Brown, 48, was last seen on September 22, 2017, along with her 8-year-old son, Karam Govens Jr. The pair were reportedly leaving Brown's mother's home in Port St. Lucie, Florida, around midnight. According to Brown's mother, Georgia received a phone call that left her "distressed and frightened," prompting her to quickly leave with Karam in a silver 2003 Toyota Camry.
They never reached their destination, and her mother reported them missing three days later.
At the time of her disappearance, Georgia was dealing with marital issues and had moved in with her mother. Authorities issued a felony warrant for interference with custody against her in November 2017, but her family believes that Georgia and Karam may have met with foul play. Both their whereabouts remain unknown, and neither have been heard from since the night they vanished.
Despite an extensive investigation by the Broward County Sheriff's Office, no significant developments have been made in their case. Georgia, a social worker and a Hofstra University graduate, had maintained close ties with her family, making her sudden disappearance deeply concerning.
