Herbert "JR" Strickland, a 38-year-old man from Laurinburg, North Carolina, was last seen on the night of December 18, 2018, near his residence on Carolina Bay Road. He was reportedly seen getting into a dark-colored SUV, possibly a black GMC Yukon Denali, and witnesses heard several gunshots shortly before the vehicle left the scene. Strickland has not been heard from since.
