Andrea Michelle Knabel, a 37-year-old mother of two from Louisville, Kentucky, was known for her compassionate nature and dedication to helping others. As a volunteer with the organization Missing in America, Andrea actively participated in searches for missing individuals, offering support to families in distress. Her commitment to this cause made her own disappearance on August 13, 2019, all the more poignant and perplexing.

The Night She Disappeared

On the evening of August 12, 2019, Andrea was seen at a McDonald's on Poplar Level Road with Ethan Bates, her sister Sarah's fiancé, and her nephew. Later, Ethan took her to a hospital on Dutchmans Lane to receive treatment for facial injuries, which were reportedly due to an infection.
