Described as a white male with sandy hair and blue eyes, standing between 5'10" and 5'11" and weighing approximately 175 pounds, Aarne's departure seemed like any other day. However, this would be the last confirmed sighting of him.
The day following his disappearance, February 27, Aarne sent several text messages. These messages marked his last known communications. At approximately 8:00 PM that evening, his phone was turned off and has remained inactive since. The abrupt cessation of contact raised immediate concerns among friends and family, prompting them to report him missing.
The New York City Police Department's Midtown North Precinct took charge of the investigation. The case was officially reported on March 7, 2019, under the agency case number 2019-018-1792. Despite efforts, there have been no significant leads or developments in the case. Aarne's disappearance is also listed in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) under the case number MP65533.
