Anjanette Marie Piotrowski was born on August 13, 1973, in Saginaw, Michigan. Her early life was marked by adversity; she was adopted at the age of five after being born to a mother struggling with heroin addiction. Despite a turbulent childhood, Anjanette sought to build a stable life for herself. By the summer of 1994, at 21 years old, she moved to Buffalo, New York, with her fiancé, Daniel Erhardt, in hopes of starting anew .

Later that day, a mechanic in Blasdell, New York, reported seeing her in the passenger seat of a car driven by Ronald Erhardt. Ronald stated that they went to Broderick Park in Buffalo, where they had an argument, and he claimed Anjanette drove off alone. This was the last confirmed sighting of her .
In the days following Anjanette's disappearance, Ronald exhibited behavior that raised red flags. He canceled a check he had written for an apartment Anjanette was set to move into and cleared out her belongings from her motel room. Notably, he did not report her missing. When questioned, Ronald admitted to being the last person to see her but denied any involvement in her disappearance. Despite being the prime suspect, he was never charged and later moved to Louisville, Kentucky, where he passed away in 2014 ....Read More
