In late October 2019, 33-year-old Brooklynn Suzanne Short was last seen walking along Tytus Avenue in Middletown, Ohio. Brooklynn was noted to have blue hair at the time she went missing, along with distinctive tattoos and piercings.
Brooklynn's disappearance galvanized the community. Family, friends, and volunteers organized search parties, scouring areas where she was known to frequent. In August 2020, a group discovered bones in a wooded area of Madison Township, prompting a response from the Butler County Coroner's Office.
