Sally Anne Stone, born on August 28, 1964, was a 21-year-old woman residing in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, at the time of her disappearance. Standing at 5'1" and weighing approximately 115 pounds, Sally had brown hair and hazel eyes. Distinctive features included a five- to six-inch scar on her abdomen, possibly from a cesarean section, and a tattoo on her right shoulder depicting a parrot standing on a branch in front of a half-moon, with a ribbon underneath bearing the word "Teko's." She also had another tattoo on her back.
On May 16, 1986, Sally was last seen leaving her physical therapist's office in Coeur d'Alene, where she was receiving treatment for a knee injury that had sidelined her from her job as an exotic dancer at the Kon Tiki nightclub in State Line, Idaho. She had another appointment scheduled for May 19 but failed to attend.
When Sally did not visit her husband, who was incarcerated at the Ada County Jail for jumping bail on a grand theft auto charge, over the Memorial Day weekend, he reported her missing. Police found her 1974 Chevrolet Nova parked outside her residence on Elm Street, with a bag of stale donuts inside. Her purse was missing, but her suitcases and clothing remained in the closet, and a new pair of shoes was on the bed. Newspapers had accumulated on her front porch, and an insurance check and a letter from her mother were found in the mailbox.
Sally's disappearance was not an isolated incident. Just seven weeks earlier, on March 29, 1986, 31-year-old Deborah Jean Swanson vanished while jogging on Tubbs Hill in Coeur d'Alene. Her locked car was found in a parking lot, with her purse and identification inside. Authorities believe she was a victim of foul play. ...Read More
