On the morning of November 19, 1989, Jimmy Davis, a 45-year-old resident of Dunn, North Carolina, stepped out of his trailer on Spring Branch Road and was never seen again. His live-in girlfriend reported that he left around 11:00 a.m., and when his boss returned two days later to pick him up for work, Davis was nowhere to be found. Despite his occasional absences in the past, Davis always maintained contact with his family, making his sudden disappearance all the more alarming.
Jimmy Davis was known for his strong family connections. He had nine children and was particularly close to his mother, never missing an opportunity to reach out on her birthday, Mother's Day, or Christmas. His sister, Gaylena Harris, recalled the last time she saw him was on Christmas morning in 1987, emphasizing his commitment to family traditions.
In the summer of 2006, 17 years after Davis's disappearance, the Dunn Police Department received an anonymous, hand-drawn map. The map, bearing the name "Jimmy Davidic," suggested a burial site near Davis's former residence. Investigators, including geologists from North Carolina State University, employed ground-penetrating radar and other technologies to search the indicated area. Despite these efforts, no evidence was found, and the case remained unresolved.
Court records revealed that Davis had shot a man in 1985, leading authorities to consider the possibility of retaliation. Given his past conflicts and the circumstances of his disappearance, investigators suspect foul play. Despite extensive searches and interviews, no definitive leads have emerged. on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
