Vanished Without a Trace: The Unsolved Disappearance of Alex LaRussa in Salina, Kansas

A Promising Life Interrupted

Alex Michael LaRussa was a 25-year-old man navigating the challenges of life with resilience and determination. Standing at 6'2" and weighing approximately 175 pounds, Alex was known for his black hair, brown eyes, and distinctive tattoos, including a star and the number 13 on his chest and the word "Pain" on the side of his neck. In July 2017, a life-altering injury led to the amputation of his left leg above the knee. Despite this setback, Alex adapted to his new circumstances, using a wheelchair for mobility and continuing to drive independently. Seeking the support of his family during this challenging period, he relocated from Great Bend to Salina, Kansas, to be closer to his loved ones.  

The Day Alex Disappeared

On December 8, 2017, Alex's routine included visiting his mother and making a trip to a local Walmart. The last confirmed sighting of him was around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Iron Avenue and Ohio Street in Salina. He was driving his tan 2004 Ford Explorer with Kansas license plates.
