A Life Interrupted
Elizabeth Ann Hernandez, born on January 20, 1988, was a 29-year-old mother of two from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Known affectionately as Liz or Lyzzi, she was four months pregnant with her third child at the time of her disappearance. Elizabeth had recently completed beauty school and was working at a salon, supplementing her income by babysitting her sister's children. Her life was filled with the joys and challenges of motherhood, and she was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her new baby.
The Day She Disappeared
On November 15, 2017, Elizabeth spent the day at her sister Amber's house. That evening, her boyfriend, Miguel Martinez, picked her up. The following morning, November 16, Miguel reportedly dropped Elizabeth off at the Department of Human Services office located at 3280 Bridge Boulevard Southwest for a scheduled appointment to apply for food stamps.
