A Quiet Sunday Turns into a Mystery

On March 20, 2016, 26-year-old Keith Wayne Royer was last seen in Centralia, Illinois. According to reports, he had been at a friend's residence and was reportedly heading to Mount Vernon, Illinois. However, the friend later told Keith's girlfriend that Keith jumped out of the vehicle in Centralia during their journey. Since that day, there has been no confirmed contact or sightings of Keith.

Delayed Reporting and Sparse Leads

Keith was first reported missing to the Sandoval Police Department on April 7, 2016, over two weeks after he was last seen. This delay in reporting may have hindered early investigative efforts. Despite the time lapse, authorities and Keith's family initiated searches and appeals for information, but no substantial leads emerged.

Physical Description and Identifying Marks

At the time of his disappearance, Keith was described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds, with light brown to blond hair and blue eyes. He has distinctive tattoos: angel wings with the word “spike” on his back and a skull on his right calf. These unique features were highlighted in missing person bulletins to aid in identification.

A Pattern of Disappearances in the Area

Keith's case is one among several mysterious disappearances in the Centralia area. Others include Beth Bentley, Vincent Wesselmann, Jared Hanna, James “Jimmy” Romines, and Megan Nichols. These cases, spanning from 1991 to 2016, share the commonality of individuals vanishing without a trace, leading to speculation about potential connections or underlying factors contributing to these disappearances. ...Read More
