A Quiet Night Turns Mysterious

In the early hours of Monday, May 15, 2017, 33-year-old Thomas Jordan Cody left his residence in the 8000 block of Ogden Street in southeast Houston, Texas. He informed his family that he was heading to meet a friend on Detroit Street, just a few miles away. This seemingly routine outing marked the last time anyone saw or heard from him.

Distinctive Appearance and Personal Details

Thomas Cody was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 206 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a white shirt with silver lettering spelling "Jordan," silver shorts, and white, gray, and black Jordan tennis shoes.

A Burned Vehicle Raises Alarms

Community Mobilization and Search Efforts

In response to Thomas's disappearance, Texas EquuSearch, a volunteer search and recovery organization, initiated search efforts. Volunteers gathered at the Foodarama parking lot located in the 4800 block of Old Galveston Road (Highway 3) at Howard Drive in Houston. Searches were conducted on foot and with all-terrain vehicles, covering brushy terrains and nearby areas. Despite these extensive efforts, no significant leads were uncovered. ...Read More
