A Bright Future Cut Short
Tyreek Jawaun Pettigrew, a 20-year-old from Moncks Corner, South Carolina, was known for his vibrant personality and close-knit relationships with family and friends. Standing at 5'10" and weighing 148 pounds, he was last seen wearing a green, red, and white Mexico soccer jersey, black pants, and red sneakers. On February 21, 2018, Tyreek left his mother's home, driving her black 2007 Infiniti G35, and was captured on surveillance footage at the Fuel Express gas station on U.S. 17-A around 3:00 PM. This would be the last confirmed sighting of him.
A Vehicle Found, But No Sign of Tyreek
Later that day, at approximately 3:38 PM, Tyreek's vehicle was seen on surveillance footage at the Janki-Mart on State Road. However, Tyreek himself was not visible in the footage. In the early hours of February 22, his car was discovered abandoned and engulfed in flames on Cainhoy Road near Bamberg Circle in Charleston, South Carolina.
