On April 29, 2016, 63-year-old Tessie Mangohig vanished from a residence in Delano, California, around 2:30 p.m. Originally from Glendora, she was visiting family when she left the house unnoticed, without her purse, cash, or the tracking device she typically wore. Tessie, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, was known for her physical fitness and enjoyed walking in the area. Her disappearance was particularly concerning due to her medical condition, which could impair her ability to seek help or recognize her surroundings.
The Immediate Search Efforts
In the days following her disappearance, large search parties combed through fields and along highways in hopes of locating Tessie. The Delano Police Department led extensive search operations, but despite their efforts, no trace of her was found.
