Background of Benjamin Sjoberg

Born on August 24, 1973, Benjamin Robert Sjoberg hailed from Duluth, Minnesota. At 23, he served as a Hull Technician Third Class in the United States Navy. Described as a very athletic individual, Sjoberg was an excellent swimmer and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed living off the land. The Night of Disappearance

On October 18, 1996, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Sjoberg was last seen aboard the USS Harper's Ferry (LSD-49).
