A Quiet Life in Miami’s Northside
Joseph Leon Johnson, born on September 1, 1929, in New Jersey, was a U.S. Army veteran who had also lived in Alabama. By 2008, he was residing in the Northside area of Miami, Florida, near the community of Westview. Due to health issues, Johnson was being cared for by a friend, William Merritt, who may also have been an Army veteran.
The Last Known Residence and the Fire
