A Routine Business Trip Turns Mysterious
On March 29, 2019, Ji H. Kim, a 39-year-old resident of Englewood, New Jersey, embarked on what was expected to be a standard business trip to South Korea. He arrived at Incheon International Airport at 4:15 a.m. on March 30, 2019. In the days following his arrival, Kim maintained regular contact with his spouse through text messages. However, communication ceased after April 5, 2019, when he informed her of his plans to travel to Yiwu, China.
An Unfulfilled Return
Kim's travel arrangements included a return flight scheduled for April 15, 2019. Despite these plans, he did not board the flight, and his whereabouts have remained unknown since his last communication on April 5.
