A New Life in America

Bo Young Kim Mickens, born on November 8, 1981, in South Korea, embarked on a new chapter of her life when she married a U.S. military serviceman. Relocating to the United States, she settled in El Paso, Texas, with her husband and their son. Despite the challenges of adapting to a new culture, language, and environment, Mickens was determined to build a life in her adopted country. Her limited English proficiency and lack of a driver's license made her heavily reliant on her husband and in-laws for daily activities and transportation .

The Mysterious Disappearance

In September 2017, Mickens obtained a Florida state identification card using her father-in-law's former address in Orlando. This move raised questions, as the address was outdated and investigators were unable to locate or contact the father-in-law . On November 1, 2017, Mickens was last seen leaving her in-laws' residence in Orlando with her husband and son. They were reportedly en route to the Atlanta, Georgia area.
