On August 1, 1997, two-year-old Shoshana Kaila Black vanished from Holbrook, Massachusetts. Her disappearance was not the result of a stranger abduction but was allegedly orchestrated by her non-custodial mother, Karen Debra Black. This case has remained unresolved for over two decades, leaving a trail of unanswered questions and a family yearning for closure.
At the time of her disappearance, Shoshana was described as a white female with blonde or strawberry-blonde hair, brown eyes, standing approximately 2'10" tall, and weighing around 40 pounds. Her mother, Karen Debra Black, born on November 10, 1952, was 44 years old at the time. Karen is a white female, approximately 5'7" tall, weighing 120 pounds, with grey hair, hazel eyes, and a distinctive piercing on the left side of her nose.
Following the abduction, a federal warrant was issued for Karen on May 11, 1998, charging her with Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution. It is believed that Karen may have taken Shoshana to Israel, although their exact whereabouts remain unknown. This international aspect has complicated efforts to locate and return Shoshana, highlighting the challenges law enforcement faces in cross-border abduction cases.
Despite the passage of time, efforts to locate Shoshana continue. Organizations like the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children have created age-progressed images to assist in identification. Public databases and advocacy groups maintain profiles and updates on the case, encouraging individuals to provide any information that might lead to a resolution. ...Read More
