A Routine Mission Turns Tragic
On January 29, 2019, a Guardian Flight air ambulance departed from Anchorage, Alaska, en route to the remote village of Kake to retrieve a patient in need of urgent medical care. The aircraft, a twin-engine Beechcraft King Air 200, was piloted by 63-year-old Patrick Coyle, accompanied by flight nurse Stacie Rae Morse, 30, and flight paramedic Margaret Langston, 43. All three crew members were based in Juneau and were experienced professionals dedicated to providing critical medical services across the vast Alaskan landscape.
The Aircraft's Mysterious Disappearance
The flight was expected to arrive in Kake at approximately 6:19 p.m. However, the plane never reached its destination.
