Clarence W. Brush Jr., born on December 20, 1964, in Nulato, Alaska, was a 28-year-old Native American man at the time of his disappearance. Standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing approximately 165 pounds, Clarence was known in his community for his black hair and brown eyes. His life was deeply rooted in the traditions and culture of the Yukon–Koyukuk region, where he was an integral part of the local community.
The Fateful Day: September 19, 1993
On September 19, 1993, Clarence embarked on a routine journey along the Yukon River, approximately one mile upstream from Nulato. Accompanied by a companion, the two were navigating the river in a skiff when tragedy struck. Both individuals fell overboard into the cold, swift-moving waters.
