In the early hours of November 16, 2016, 53-year-old Donald Stofko Jr. embarked on his usual commute from Lynwood, Illinois, to his job at a Speedway gas station in Merrillville, Indiana. Driving his black 2003 Kia Spectra with Illinois license plate V138803, he was last seen around 4 a.m. heading east on Route 30.
