On December 29, 1983, Carl Jackson, a 50-year-old Alaska Native, embarked on a snow machine journey from Akiak to Bethel, Alaska. This route, traversing the frozen expanse of the Kuskokwim River, was familiar to many in the region during the winter months. However, Jackson never reached his destination, and he has not been seen since.
Details of the Disappearance
At the time of his disappearance, Jackson was described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The Alaska State Troopers, based in Anchorage, took charge of the investigation, assigning it case number D84-6023.
