On December 25, 2019, 26-year-old Parris Lechelle Hopson vanished without a trace in Massillon, Ohio. A Columbus resident, Parris had traveled with her mother to her grandparents' home on Shriver Avenue Southeast to celebrate Christmas. During the family gathering, she appeared anxious and was seen pacing the floor. Around 2:30 p.m., she told her relatives she needed to clear her head and left on foot, possibly heading toward nearby Shriver Park. She left behind her car, cell phone (which was charging inside the vehicle), wallet, and identification. A neighbor later reported that Parris stopped to wish him a Merry Christmas before continuing on her walk. She has not been seen or heard from since .
Parris was a graduate of Washington High School and Cleveland State University. She was known as an excellent writer and had a bright future ahead. At the time of her disappearance, she was working in an administrative position for Nationwide Insurance in Columbus and had previously worked as an event planner . Her family described her as intelligent, goal-oriented, and deeply committed to her loved ones.
Parris's disappearance came after a period of personal turmoil. In June 2017, her brother, Perry Hopson Jr., was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Perry Township, Ohio. He suffered life-threatening injuries and remained on life support until his death in April 2018 at the age of 23. The driver responsible for the accident was never identified. Parris was deeply affected by her brother's death and had been actively seeking information about the incident, hoping to find justice for her sibling .
Following her disappearance, law enforcement and community members conducted extensive searches in the Massillon area, but no trace of Parris was found. Her cell phone, bank cards, and identification remained untouched, and there has been no activity on her social media accounts since she went missing. Authorities have not found any evidence pointing to foul play, but they remain concerned for her safety ....Read More
