A Life Interrupted
Robin Denise Appel Herring was a 35-year-old woman residing in Douglas City, California. Described as 5'5" tall and weighing 150 pounds, she had blonde hair and gray eyes. She bore scars on her right cheek, wrist, arm, and leg, and had previously suffered fractures to her right ankle and shoulder. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a white fur coat, brown snow boots, a gold watch, and three or four silver bracelets on her left wrist.
The Fateful Evening
On April 22, 1995, Robin and her boyfriend were traveling near Goldfield Campground, north of Trinity Lake in Weaverville, California.
