On the evening of April 19, 1993, 25-year-old Robert John "Link" Bornos went out to celebrate a new job opportunity. He visited the Choptank Inn, located on northbound Route 50 in Cordova, Maryland, where he played pool with friends. During the evening, Bornos mentioned feeling unwell and stepped outside to the parking lot. Witnesses last saw him standing next to a blue vehicle.

The Mysterious Abandonment

Approximately one week after his disappearance, Bornos's vehicle was found abandoned in a parking lot seven miles from the Choptank Inn.
