A Quiet Evening Turns into a Lifelong Mystery

On the evening of April 30, 2018, Robert E. Junod, a 63-year-old resident of Oak Forest, Illinois, was last seen by his father at their home on Beth Court. The next morning, his father noticed that Robert's purple 1994 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck was missing from the driveway and assumed he had gone to work. However, Robert never arrived at his job and has not been heard from since. 

The Abandoned Truck at Thornton Quarry

Days after his disappearance, Robert's distinctive purple pickup truck was found abandoned at the Thornton Quarry in South Holland, Illinois. The keys were inside the vehicle, and a black file cabinet was in the truck bed. There were no signs of Robert, and the location provided no clues as to his whereabouts.
