Maxine Chiara Bieberbach, born on June 2, 1991, in Alabama, led a life marked by both adversity and resilience. Standing between 5'3" and 5'5" and weighing approximately 105 pounds, Maxine was known for her brown hair and eyes. Her body bore several tattoos, including the word "Sister" with a red, yellow, and green heart on her right upper arm, and a line on her left ring finger. She also had gauged ear piercings and possibly a lip piercing. Maxine's life was deeply affected by her struggles with heroin and methamphetamine addiction, a battle that intensified following the tragic death of her daughter from cancer several months before her disappearance .

On March 6, 2018, Maxine was last seen in the 1500 block of Empire Road in Empire, Alabama. Witnesses reported seeing her run into a wooded area behind a residence in Sumiton, Alabama.
