On February 9, 2020, 37-year-old Tonisha Beatrica Alao was last seen in the 3800 block of Leeds Avenue in North Charleston, South Carolina. At the time, she was leading a transient lifestyle and was known to frequent the One80 Place homeless shelter located at 35 Walnut Street in Charleston. Her family, residing out of state, reported that they had not heard from her since January 2020, which was highly uncharacteristic of her behavior.
Tonisha Alao is described as an African-American female, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing between 180 and 260 pounds. She has black hair, which she may dye red, and brown eyes. Her hair is usually cut short and pulled back. Notably, she has several tattoos: stars and butterflies on her right forearm, the word "Armani" on her left forearm, and the word "Bubbles" on her chest. She also has a mole on the left side of her face and pierced ears. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing hoop earrings and a bracelet.
Alao was reported to have unspecified health issues, which may have contributed to her vulnerability. Her transient status and potential health concerns underscore the urgency and importance of locating her.
The Charleston Police Department has been actively seeking information regarding Alao's whereabouts. They have urged anyone with information to contact them at 843-743-7200. Despite these efforts, there have been no significant leads in the case. ...Read More
