On the morning of August 9, 1986, 26-year-old Brian Eric Carlstrom departed from his friend's residence in Silver Lakes, a community near Helendale, California. Although he resided in Colton, California, Carlstrom had been visiting his friend in Silver Lakes. He left that morning with the intention of traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada. This journey would mark the last confirmed sighting of Carlstrom.
Later that evening, there was a potential sighting of Carlstrom at the Saddle West Casino in Pahrump, Nevada. Employees at the casino reported seeing someone matching his description, suggesting that he may have reached Pahrump that night. However, this sighting remains unconfirmed, and Carlstrom has not been heard from since.
Over a month later, on September 14, 1986, Carlstrom's maroon and white 1978 Ford F-150 pickup truck was discovered abandoned in a remote desert area approximately 20 miles north of Pahrump, Nevada. The vehicle appeared to have been left there only a short time before its discovery, and several of Carlstrom's personal belongings were found undisturbed inside. There was no sign of Carlstrom at the scene.
Carlstrom was a Caucasian male with blond hair and blue eyes, standing 6 feet tall and weighing between 190 and 200 pounds. He wore prescription eyeglasses and may have had a full beard at the time of his disappearance. Notably, Carlstrom had burn scars covering approximately 80 percent of his body, including both arms, his upper torso, and the right side of his neck. ...Read More
