A Teenager Lost at Sea
Kurtis Buree Wyatt was just 16 years old when he vanished without a trace in the icy expanse of the Bering Sea. On May 2, 1981, he was working aboard the fishing processor Yardam Knot, approximately 80 miles west of Port Moller, Alaska. The vessel was engaged in commercial fishing operations when Kurtis disappeared. Despite extensive searches, his body was never recovered, and he is presumed to have been lost at sea.
Details of the Disappearance
At the time of his disappearance, Kurtis was described as a white male, 5'4" tall, weighing 160 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue checkered Pendleton shirt, blue Levi's jeans, green rubber boots, and an orange stocking cap.
