A Routine Morning Turns Mysterious

On the morning of May 13, 2017, 41-year-old Filipina caregiver Virgie Baliton vanished without a trace in Berkeley, California. Accompanying her 80-year-old employer from Hong Kong, Baliton was in town to attend the employer's granddaughter's graduation ceremony at the University of California, Berkeley . The group stopped at Café Strada, a popular campus café, for breakfast around 9:00 a.m. When Baliton needed to use the restroom, she discovered the café's facilities were out of order.
