A Familiar Face in Lahaina's Streets

Jay Cochran was a well-known figure in the Lahaina community of Maui, Hawaii. At 57 years old, he stood 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighed approximately 134 pounds. With graying blond hair and brown eyes, Cochran was often seen around the Lahaina area, where he was known to frequent despite experiencing homelessness . His presence was a constant in the community, and he maintained regular contact with his family, especially on significant dates like birthdays. 

The Day He Disappeared

The last confirmed sighting of Jay Cochran was on December 1, 2012, in Lahaina. Despite his transient lifestyle, Cochran made it a point to reach out to his family on special occasions. However, in the summer of 2013, concern grew when he failed to contact his mother and twin brother on their birthdays—a departure from his usual behavior.
