A Quiet Night in Hull Bay
Sandra Suzzane Shapiro Laplace was a 27-year-old mother of two living in Hull Bay, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. On the evening of May 1, 1974, she left her home around 9 p.m. after telling her husband she could not manage their two young children. She drove a short distance down the road, and her car was later found abandoned nearby. Her purse and keys were missing, and there were no signs of foul play.
A Life Left Behind
Sandra was born on August 22, 1946, and had moved from New York to the Virgin Islands. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as a Caucasian female with brown hair and hazel eyes, standing 5'3" tall and weighing 125 pounds.
