Legally identified as male, Del Mundo presented and lived as a woman in everyday life. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at a federal veterans hospital, and was described by her family as bubbly, cheerful, and close‑knit.
Circumstances of the Disappearance
Del Mundo began her journey with a flight from Tampa to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on September 14, 2019. She was scheduled to connect to an American Airlines flight to Cozumel, Mexico, for a ten‑day vacation, staying at an Iberostar hotel that confirmed she never checked in.
