A Promising Life Cut Short

Dayne Kawika Ortiz, an 18-year-old senior at Farrington High School in Honolulu, was known for his athleticism, dedication, and vibrant personality. As a defensive back on the varsity football team, he had become one of the most improved players under Coach Randall Okimoto's guidance. His commitment to the sport and his teammates was evident, and he was poised to make significant strides both on and off the field.

A Community in Mourning

The news of Dayne's disappearance sent shockwaves through the Farrington High School community and beyond. Teammates, classmates, and friends gathered to support one another, sharing memories and offering prayers for his safe return. Coach Okimoto and the football team visited Mokuleia Beach to pay their respects and stand in solidarity with Dayne's family. ...Read More
