Known for his active lifestyle and love for the sea, Roberts embarked on a kayaking trip near Allen Island, a routine he had likely performed numerous times. However, this particular outing ended in uncertainty, as he failed to return, prompting immediate concern and a search operation.
An Immediate and Intensive Search Effort
Upon realizing Roberts was missing, local authorities initiated a comprehensive search. The U.S. Coast Guard deployed a 110-foot cutter and an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter from Air Station Cape Cod to scour the waters near Allen Island.
