On January 18, 1998, 36-year-old Jerry C. Lucas was last seen in Boutte, Louisiana. At approximately 5:00 a.m., he entered a cab near the intersection of Paul Maillard Road and Highway 90. The cab driver reported that Lucas's destination was the Union Passenger Terminal in New Orleans. After this early morning departure, Lucas was never seen or heard from again.
